The Drum Beat of Uganda is a cultural dancing troupe that was founded to assists the less prevellegd children and those from very poor backgrounds to develop their talents in performance arts. We prepare them to dance, sing and do performances at a hire basis. The money we get from the shows we do, helps them to go to school which may not have happened if we did not develop their talents to become performing artistes. The organization provides a home to accommodate those who come from far away from where we train from. We pay for their school fees, feed them and meet their day-to-day requirements.

The Organization was founded in 1996 by Kibi Kaggwa Patrick, now the Director. We do dances from most parts of Uganda and act plays on issues on Development Theatre. It is the only organization in southern Uganda that caters to less prevelleged children by giving them a life self sustaining skill.

The children are not limited to only study performance related ventures. They are also trained in other skills that can lead them to professionalism.
